The British Car Club of Delaware held its annual Holiday Luncheon at the Christiana Hilton.  There were 27 members and guests in attendance enjoying the buffet.  We had Firefly Farms Salad, Italian Sausage, Tomato & White Bean Soup.  The Entrees were Mediterranean Chicken, Honey Glazed Salmon, and Grilled Chimichurri Flat Iron Steak with all the complementary extras. Dessert – Tiramisu/Christmas Cookies and Seasonal Pastries.

Bill Tattersall presented a well-deserved Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Terry E. YoungTerry has been instrumental in the success and growth of the British Car Club of Delaware. For the seven years Terry has served as President, he has; revitalized the club, increased membership, encouraged greater participation in events, improved the executive functioning of the club and brought a fresh enthusiasm to the club’s leadership. His welcoming approach and positive attitude have been instrumental in the club’s success. The membership wishes to recognize Terry’s dedication, the time and energy he devotes to all things BCCD and the significant impact he had on the club, its members and its success.

Certificates of Appreciation were also presented by Terry Young to our club members who have gone above and beyond:

  • Mr. Don McDonald Don’s implementation of the marketing program with forty-two supporting advertisers helping to fund programs and events for 2023 & 2024.
  • Mr. Bill Wilson for his coordination as the Friends of Bellanca Airfield liaison.
  • Mr. Greg Eroe & Rev. Richard Speck for coordinating the final concept and procurement arrangements for the British Car Club of Delaware, Inc.’s, Key FOB. 
  • Ms. Joy Read & Mr. Brian Read for coordinating conducting Ladies Luncheons and the complementary Chauffeur dejeuner.
  • Ms. Carol & Mr. Bob Wall for your accomplishments in 2024 demonstrating exceptional leadership for the Annual Fall Car Show, Cars & Coffee, Covered Bridge Tour and many other BCCD important events.

All presentations were rewarded by warm rounds of applause.  

The luncheon was arranged by Joy Reed and Lee Salino who researched many locations and settled on the Christiana Hilton All presentations were rewarded by warm rounds of applause.   Sharon concluded the luncheon with the traditional Pollyanna game with everyone who played having an enjoyable time going back and forth until the right gift was selected.
