Yorklyn DE, July 14, 2021: The British Car Club of Delaware, Inc was invited to showcase their British autos for the “Auburn After Hours” event at the Marshall Steam Museum & Friends of Auburn Heights. Bill Wilson – 1973 Triumph TR-6, Chuck Ott – 1969 Austin Healey Sprite, Jim Martin – 1964 Austin Healey BJ8 3000 Roadster, George Alderman – 2007 Jaguar XKR, and Terry Young – 1999 Jaguar XK8 made the enjoyable drive through Auburn State Park into the Marshall Mansion’s driveway. Dave Marshall and Wayne Elvin greeted us as we arrived. Our host Allison Schell, Director of Public Programs for Marshall Steam Museum & Friends of Auburn Heights excitingly welcomed us as we arrived. The front admission person was Kathy Beck, longtime Marshall Steam Museum volunteer. Allison and her staff strategically parked our cars around the mansion and steam museum for visitors to admire. We want to thank our Museum tour guide Steve Bryce, Vice President at the museum who is an expert resource for Steam Cars. Additional thanks go to the food service folks from The Box Lunch DE (Chef Connor Ryan) and our attentive bartender Barbara Nelson, a volunteer with our Auburn Valley Railroad.
