On a crisp October morning, 5 intrepid crews assembled in Newark for the start of an epic journey to deepest Pennsylvania.

Jack and Liz Long (Jaguar), Dave and Kathy Maule (Jaguar), Steve Rose & Sandi McGee (Bentley) made the trip from Sussex County and were joined by Richard Speck and Janet Tillman (MG) and Mike and Lee Salino (Jaguar).

We drove on rural backroads and byways, stayed in the Historic Inn at Jim Thorpe, rode the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, and drove to the top of Camelback Mountain. We dined in classic diners and an Irish Pub and on the way back visited the Classic Car Automall.

We managed to keep the group together the entire trip for almost 250 miles until we got separated in Allentown on the final stretch.  However, we were all reunited for a final lunch at Wimpy and Dee’s diner on Horseshoe Pike after which we went our separate ways.
